Canberra is Underrated. Here’s 3 Reasons Why.

Canberra is amazing, change my mind.

It may sometimes get a bad rap from your unenlightened friends and family (Who, let’s be honest, haven’t visited since they were 11 and on school camp), but Australia’s capital city is a legitimately fantastic place to visit and/or live. Canberra is definitely underrated, and here’s 3 reasons why.

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve lies just 40 minutes from Canberra’s CBD. You can stroll side-by-side with hopping kangaroos, get cuddly with koalas, and generally revel in the local flora and fauna that the ACT has on offer. If you are looking for a guided tour, Canberra Urban Adventures will provide you with a local expert who will enlighten you so much they will have you dropping knowledge bombs at your next 10 dinner parties.

‘Listen Cheryl, I know your kids are doing well at university, but let me tell you why Kangaroos first began hopping.’

This list is in no particular order. But let’s be honest, this is the number 1 reason why Canberra is amazing.

Vamos. If you got a tennis court, you got a coach! (Say that in your best infomercial voice). Yes that’s right, Vamos is in Canberra and our local Head Coach brings world-class tennis coaching to your residential, apartment or hotel court. If that isn’t reason enough to love Canberra, I’m not sure what is.

Time to stop blowing hot air up you, and have you start using hot air to see Canberra. Canberra is like any great Instagram model – it has it’s best angle. The best option to get a birds-eye view is a hot air balloon ride with Balloon Aloft. Canberra is the work of some amazing town planners with slight OCD – and for that we are grateful. Because it means that our capital city is wonderfully picturesque from above. Set around Lake Burley-Griffin and surrounded by rolling hills, an early morning balloon ride coupled with sunrise snaps is sure to get the social media likes rolling in.

All the activities are highly recommended and come with hundreds of 5 star reviews. Whether you are a resident or a holiday-maker, Canberra has plenty to offer.
